ABOUT LYSS
Hey loves! My name is Alyssa Dry, and I am the owner of BAELYSS! I was born & raised in Texas, but currently living in California working towards becoming a Child Life Specialist. I recently graduated from Baylor University where I played college basketball. My entire life has always been centered around sports, so when that was taken away from me due to health issues, I was completely lost. Lying in bed for over a year, I found a creative outlet through painting which led to me to creating this website.
Personally, I have always struggled with confidence, and self doubt. It wasn't until after experiencing these trials in my life that I developed a different perspective on life, and started to became a lot more appreciative towards what God has blessed me with, and stopped complaining about what i didn't have. During this season of my life in isolation, I learned the essence of self love. I finally gained enough confidence to start my own business. I am grateful God led me on this path to encouraging others to feel not only confident through their outward appearances, but more importantly in who they are.
My main goal in starting BaeLyss is to be able to use this platform to help empower, and lift up other woman to be secure in who they are. Baelyss is centered around the importance of self love in knowing to always be confident in who God made you to be. Oftentimes, girls search for their happiness from a man, and base their worth off of being likable. I want to encourage others to stop searching for validation from a guy to determine their worth or to feel loved.
!Focus on yourself, and be so secure in who you are that no one can stop you from reaching your full potential. Build confidence alone in who you are, & when the timing is right the Lord will send you a man who portrays a Christ-like love & treats you like a queen.Know that you are loved unconditionally & already have validation from the only person you will ever need it from & thats Jesus Christ. .
Why did you change your name from Lyss to Baelyss?
I wanted to change the name in hopes to also reach an audience of girls to be happy with or without a bae! I changed the name from lyss to baelyss after woman constantly talking about how bad they wanted a relationships.
